Don't let the beginning of the movie stop you from watching the whole thing. Granted the lead actress is obnoxious (but I knew this coming into the movie because I love Dexter, but hate that girl in it) When the movie... Full review

I went into this movie with fairly vague expectations - however I am a fan of scary movies, and not to mention a big fan of Jennifer Carpenter, could be good times. so lets go. woah. This movie was horribly fantastic!... Full review

OK I didn't see the whole movie but its exactly the same as the movie Rec, which is still a fairly new movie.. why they decided to remake a movie barely 1 year old is beyond me, those complete and utter... Full review

OK this is not a bad film. It really isn't, it's actually very average compared to the other awful zombie fare coming from the US in recent years. It really can't be that bad can it? It's a pretty much shot... Full review
Quarantine is a remake of 2007 Spanish horror film Rec, which has been receiving amazing reviews from horror fans, including myself. It was tense, terrifying and had great acting. I only saw Rec a few months ago, and would say it's... Full review
OK i keep this short. original "REC" is WAY better then this lousy remake. What annoyed me most is the total unrealistic camera. they tried to make it even "more" realistic then the original, almost constantly changing focus, more shaking, and... Full review

Overall, it was a pretty good movie. It entertained me, and it had zombie-like people (well, it was actually a virus, like in 28 days/weeks later- but still, that concept of zombies is always awesome). The camera was pretty shaky at... Full review

I had high hopes for this movie when I saw the trailer and felt that the movie delivered what it intended to. The movie itself takes place from the point of view from a cameraman named Scott. The cameraman is shooting... Full review

I have to say, this whole hysteria of America ruining foreign films is laughable. Yes, there are some really bad remakes, but that does not effect the original film. You cannot ruin a film by remaking it as the original film... Full review

The original film spent some time with the characters, "Quarantine" quickly sets up the humans as zombie food, with little development beyond differing puncture wounds. To Americanize "Rec," "Quarantine" introduces crude sexual tension between Angela and the firemen, and turns our camera-ready hostess from a frustrated lifestyle reporter to a veritable sorority pledge, with Dowdle encouraging Carpenter to play daft instead of confident, ultimately reducing Angela's role in the overall scheme of things. ... There aren't that many scares in Quarantine, but there is a mood of anxiety, which is underlined with the washed-out, news-camera-style footage. As a bonus, the movie throws in another trend: the deadly virus that makes ordinary people suddenly want to eat each other, thus turning Quarantine into a neat compendium of horror trends. ... As far as Hollywood's reliably tepid horror output is concerned, Quarantine works as every bit the disposable jolt dispenser it's assembled to be. And yet, when taken out of the shadow of its predecessor and placed amidst the ranks of studio horror offerings of late (aside from the more ambitious and accomplished likes of Cloverfield ), Quarantine gets a lot more points for delivering some genuine toe-tapping tension beyond a flurry of handheld camera work and some gratuitous gore shots -- all the translat ...
