a film with such a seemingly simple plot line, "Quantum of Solace" is actually quite confusing.....Every action movie has cool explosions, outrageous car chases and a ridiculously good-looking hero with his even more ridiculously good-looking girlfriends.....With many elements of the film left unanswered, it's disappointing when the credits start rolling.....What almost every action movie does not have is a captivating and engaging plot..... ... This is still one of the better action films of....My complaints with "Quantum of Solace" were the over-the-top action sequences and MTV-style cutting that made them seem to slick and quick.....the blonde-haired blue-eyed Craig is the best Bond yet....The real reason to watch these two films is to see the talented Craig portray Bond as a gritty man with compassion and more humanity....These moments were still not as silly as many of the stunts performed by Brosnan or Moore.... ... er, Bond is back, this time as seen through the lens of hackneyed director Marc Forster ( Stranger than Fiction ).....fits well with the atmosphere of the movie.....a complaint not of the film's political stance but, again, of its execution.....He criticizes the dollar, jokes about the value of oil....In fact, these overdone sequences marry beautifully with BD's capabilities.... ... For those who liked the film....With an LFE track to back it up, the film's sound design spreads nicely across all channels in both the front and back.....Despite all of the sound effects and music pouring out around it, the center-channel dialogue comes across as clear as a bell.....The action in Quantum isn't thrilling nor is it fun;....The cast waxes poetic on working with the Swiss-German filmmaker..... ... The movie looks incredible on Blu-ray's crystal clear picture....I also really enjoyed the colors of the film, and the different lighting used for various scenes (such as the opera sequence or the solar powered headquarters of Green).....Quantum of Solace was another great adventure for Craig's version of Bond.....Once again, I think Daniel Craig's portrayal of Bond was great.... ... Judi Dench also plays against Craig well as the hardnosed M. It wouldn't be a Bond film without beautiful women and bad guys.....Greene's evil plot also doesn't seem as devious as Bond villains of the past either..... ... Full Review

when the movie is this good it doesn't matter.....The story will be a bit confusing for newcomers....Director Marc Forster, known for his exceptional dramas (Finding Neverland, The Kite Runner), proves he's just as adept at action and keeps this one fast and tight (it clocks in under 2 hours, which is a miracle for most filmgoers);....The exotic locations, the unparalleled action sequences, the depth of color, and the booming sound make this a must-own Blu-ray..... ...
