Poi Solla Porom

The film is a good remake of the film khosla ka ghosla and the film director succeeded in delivering a good film . UTV has pocketed one more good project in to its kitty The film starts off with showing Sathyanathan (Nedumudi Venu)dream to build a home and how his family members are treating him . The relation between members in the family will be bad . Better way of saying is that his elder son Ooplinathan (Karthik Kumar) wants to go abroad and settle there . And the second son and daughter also pay no interest in their father's dream of constructing a house after retirement . He takes them the next day to the land he purchases with his savings . He finds that his land is being occupied by baby (Nasser)who is a real estate owner . He tries to get back his land in many ways , but only fails . All the ways , going to the person from who he purchases the land , police help , Onam (second son) taking help from Gundas , every thing goes waste . And he finds out how land broker (VMC Haneefa) has cheated him . Naseer keeps a demand of 15lakhs before the family where the hell breakes loose Now starts the fun part of the film . Bosky who in past was cheated by Baby(Naseer) comes in to help Karthik . Karthik’s girlfriend Piya, her father (Mouli) and their team who are running a drama group comes to his aid. How they cheat Naseer and get back there land forms the rest of the film . With a bit of tamil flavour , khosla ka ghosla turned Poi Solla Poram is a beautiful watch . Although i have seen the Hindi version , there was some freshness in the tamil version . All the actors fitted well in the film . Karthik suited well in the role of a middle class son who wants to go abroad and settle . And priya is cute in her role . Nedumudi Venu did well in the emotional part . The songs were neat , editing was good and with fun and though provoking dialogues , the film has come out as a good watch . It has chances of going well in all the A,B and C centers

Director Vijay brings out the best in Karthik Kumar. Menacing Nasser wins applause in the last few minutes of the film when he appears in a state of inebriation. Nedumudi Venu gives a natural and touching performance. ... Full Review
