I must tell all that Planet Terror is one great movie. It was wonderful and exciting and filled with great action parts.Next to it's sibling,Deathproof, there's no doubt that Planet Terror is the better of the two.Deathproof was good, don't get me wrong, but as... Full review
Planet Terror, before becoming it's own movie-animal of sorts as a stand-alone feature released in most parts of the world (and on DVD), was a slightly shorter, near-perfect first part of a double-bill of the Rodriguez/Tarantino double-feature Grindhouse. Not to... Full review

I reviewed this before as it was put together next to "Death Proof" (plus a number of inspired trailers for films that don't exist) for the grand experiment "Grindhouse",and I felt that while I still quite enjoyed the whole package,... Full review

Rodriguez's half of the original 'grindhouse' double bill , which consisted of his TERROR PLANET with Tarantino's DEATH PROOF. Likely audience reactions led to the two titles being separated and issued apart. As a homage to the drive-in tradition and... Full review
For some reason the original double feature movie of Grindhouse combining Planet Terror with Tarantino's effort was never released in the UK! Regardless, i was still curious to watch both efforts, and the first of which I've had the chance... Full review

While Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof seems to be a much more authentic representation of 1970s grindhouse pictures, Robert Rodriguez' Planet Terror is more of a loving caricature of 1980s zombie splatter films. Nothing in the film is played straight, and... Full review

Everyone I know loves this movie, including my Girlfriend. Yes, it has it's gross-out moments, but they are all so over the top that they aren't all that disturbing. The whole movie is supposed to be grimy and cheesy so... Full review

I've seen a fairly large segment of this film and don't understand either of the two negative reviews at all. I classed it as a zombie flick and as such found it a good addition to the genre. To say... Full review

The second 'Grindhouse' feature directed by Robert Rodriguez. This was the one I was most excited to see. When I always have some sort of idea about what to expect from Tarantino, Rodriguez has been far unpredictable in his career... Full review

an excellent soundtrack....bicker in expletive-ridden cut scenes which are occasionally hilarious....frantic action....The story is as ridiculous as you'd expect, with a suitably over-the-top script being adeptly dealt with by the voice actors.....celluloid, ridiculous dialogue.... ... Full Review

Once the blood starts flowing, there is some outrageous fun to be had on Planet Terror, but there are too many leaden exposition scenes to sit through first. A military experiment has gone badly wrong, and when the townsfolk start eating each other, it's up to a pole dancer (Rose McGowan), a sheriff (Michael Biehn), and a drifter (Freddy Rodriguez, no relation) to blow what's left of their brains out. ... simply enjoy the meticulously recreated B-movie carnage -....This week in particular the films blur together into one great miasma of inadequacy, with eerily similar thematic concerns, identical pretensions....indeed the movie proudly trumps this fact by deliberately dropping a pivotal third-act scene (a title card reading "missing reel" flashes on screen - I tell you, it's a hoot)..... ... All in all this is a really fun film for genre fans and it is a great addition to any DVD collection. The new cut of Planet Terror runs something like 15 minutes longer but I'll be honest with you - I didn't notice. The kid definitely has talent. ... Full Review
