Truely not worth the time.

I can't believe I wasted my time on this one. It was truely aweful. How can such a great story be butchered so. The boy actor for Pinocchio was just OK. The only redemption is that Gipetto's character did come through.... Full review

The graphics stunk, the acting stunk, the story and direction stunk. Is there such thing as an F-? There must be, this film is even unworthy of an F. Avoid it like a lonely granny.... Full review

This movie could pass as a horror movie. It is absolutely TERRIBLE. The entire story was basically finished within the first 20 minutes of this film, so we end up watching Pinocchio bring his father milk for 40 minutes. This film... Full review

This version of the infamous story Pinocchio just doesn't work at all. It seemed more like a kiddy horror movie. I just thought that there would be a little more class when dealing with Roberto Benigni. I was so dissapointed with... Full review

The whole movie wouldn't be so bad if the lead actor was in the least believable as Pinoccio. From the moment I saw the receeding hairline I had to constantly remind myself that he wsa supposed to be a young puppet,... Full review

Soon after he's whittled into existence, Pinocchio trashes the unsuspecting town, and cavorts about the countryside like a Diff'rent Strokes alum (right down to the jail time). As the now donkey Leonardo lays dying, Pinocchio allows him one last lick of his precious tangerine lollipop; Grace, I swear stifling a laugh, gasps: "The flavor . ... Full Review

Pinocchio 's best invention is at once it's most telling and most frightening.....the story's charm is noticeably lost amid gaudy sets and Benigni's infinite flights of fancy.....The film's stagecrafts are intimate and therefore bolder than the otherwise calculated artifice that defines and overwhelms the film's production design.....oberto Benigni's take on Carlo Collodi's classic fairy tale "Pinocchio" bears an unlikely resemblance to Fellini's more grotesque carnivalesques..... ... Benigni's "Pinocchio" is undoubtedly too slow moving for children and too boring for adults.....Better this log-headed "Pinocchio" had been burned at the stake.....The entire film is a dull and tedious affair, lacking humor, wit, style, or even a decent slapstick gag.....Stick with Disney's classic animation, and you can't go wrong.....Unfortunately, the Fox is but a small part of the larger picture.... ...
