Fox's Marquee Musicals DVD of Pin Up Girl is not quite as good looking as their other recent musical releases - many scenes have "hue pulsing", apparently from unevenly-faded matrices (Perhaps, Savant is far from the last word in lab analysis). The films music, its lynchpin is fairly uninspired as well, never reaching the heights of MGMs classics. This wretched retelling of Cinderella (Grable in glasses cannot be identified by her pining beloved) is teeming with mediocre songs and unremarkable drama.
