Another techno thriller in which the "techno" looks hopelessly out of date, PERFECT STRANGER would be laughable ... The dodgy script doesn't give them much to work with either, frequently throwing up unintentionally laughable lines such as, You know how much Daddy likes bath-time. Not to take anything away from Ribisi, because he was really quite good, but when the most promising aspect of a thriller is a supporting actors performance, it means there was a significant lack of thrills. The Disc: In a case like Perfect Stranger , not even a four hour making of and a commentary from the director coupled with the three main actors could make it a worthwhile DVD purchase, nor would it add any insight to the film. ...
