A very solid Harrison Ford Suspense. With very good performances, and an emotional and soewhat exciting story. It has a Solid score, and very good action visuals at times. Overall it's a borderline classic, can go either way.... Full review

Patriot Games is a more than serviceable thriller, perhaps a bit out of date when viewing it now, but still a very effective good against evil piece. The source material is so dense and intricate it was always going to... Full review

This movie brought back fond memories of Harrison Ford before he embarked on horrible films such as "The Firewall." Before he was known for his relationship with Calista Flockhart, Ford had been a rising star who were in action-packed thrillers such... Full review

Eh... it never gets me thrilled or excited. Far too much talk to work effectively as a thriller, and it's not engrossing enough to work as a drama. Ford is fine, but he made (by far) the two weakest Jack Ryan... Full review

Based on a great Tom Clancy novel this is a picture that captures the best of his writing and some of the best acting by Harrison Ford this side of Star Wars. The cast is superb, the direction is great, the... Full review

Overall, Patriot Games is quite enjoyable and entertaining. The profanity is not even that bad compared to most R films. This really is a very low R-rated film. My only problem is that it is a bit too long. That's why... Full review

Tom Clancy is an amazing...slightly twisted man and so far I have enjoyed all his adaptions to the big screen. Violent, but not overly so. Good story, good actors. Nice action flick.... Full review

At least, I´ve always wanted the best quality picture for my viewing pleasure.....Patriot Games" is one of the better films of its type....Part of the allure of "Patriot Games" has always been the clever use of military technology and brainpower that is a staple of the Tom Clancy books.....being in awe at the letterboxed picture that unfolded on the television with round corners..... ... Lee's Movie Info
Of all the Jack Ryan movies, Patriot Games is quite possibly the most "Hollywood" in nature; the film is well directed and acted as well as entertaining, but the story is a typical good-guy/bad-guy revenge tale. Where Red October had Alec Baldwin playing the very James Bond-like hero but with a larger scale film, Patriot Games is simpler in story. ... Full Review

Too bad Patriot Games remains my least favorite of the four Jack Ryan films. The movie gets a bit more interesting in its second half, and the climax offers some good drama, though it goes on far too long. Dialogue came across as natural and crisp ... Full Review

At little more than ninety minutes, the first third taken up with exposition and the final ten minutes with an epilogue and closing credits, the movie is too short to do much with characterization or conflict development. The drama is real and never glamorized, and the ending, thankfully, is not sentimentalized, but the difficulties the girls encounter are not particularly intense. ... Full Review

Thus, to Australians, this is a profound movie that strikes at the heart of Australian history and its current values. If it weren't for the film's Australian focus and its lack of exposure overseas, Sampi could have been given a best actress nomination for any and all award ceremonies. ... Full Review
