Jan 27, 2008

Mel Gibson produces and has a quick cameo in this 'film' which comes off as a contrived public service announcement. Celebrities do need their own space just like everyone else. But to make a 90 minute diatribe that we're supposed to... Full review

After seeing this movie, I have a deep understanding of the hatred so many hollywood celebs have for the paparazzi. Everyone, even celebrities, deserves a right to privacy. In alot of ways I don't envy these guys. So many noncelebrities take... Full review

I heard that this was a decent film. Not "Oscar worthy", but decent. Turns out I really loved the concept of this movie. Of course it demonized the paparazzi.....they're *****s. I guess some people feel that since celebrities get un-godly amounts... Full review

Pay back from the hollywood industry to the media industry courtesy of Mel Gibson (who has a small cameo). It's basically a revenge plot right out of the Alec Baldwin headlines, with Daniel Baldwin playing one of the bad guys on... Full review

Gibson's company, Icon, produced the film, and it has the Gibson stamp: it's another ugly revenge movie masquerading as entertainment. On the set of the sequel, things are just as bad: considering the director, Paul Abascal, is an experienced movie hair stylist with several tv shows to his directorial credit (though this is his first feature), it's inexcusable how he shoots the on set scenes, so lacking in authenticity. ... As played by Hauser, Bo is any old blandly handsome direct-to-video B-movie action star.....Hollywood hair stylist/first-time director Paul Abascal and screenwriter Forrest Smith could have parlayed the tabloid-reading public's thirst into clever satire.... ... Full Review

But this movie so overstates the idea....If the movie weren't done in such deadly earnest, it might have made a great cult-classic, "so-bad-it's-good" flick....while working in theatrical productions as a hairdresser, the movie plods along with all the pacing and style of a garden-variety made-for-television product.....it isn't a pretty sight.....If it weren't for the obvious enthusiasm (no matter how misguided) with which these actors attack their roles, the film would have had nothing to recommend it (no ...
