The result is an inventive little movie that's funnier and more alive, perhaps because we haven't seen it a dozen times already.
Luckily, his assistant (Brandy Norwood) is more conscientious than he is.

Osmosis Jones," a silly and gross combination of animation and live action, answers most of these questions in the affirmative.
Instead, while youngsters will probably like "Jones," I found it tedious at best.

While not bad enough to make you ill, Osmosis Jones is hardly a paragon of cinematic strength.
Despite its swagger of right now edginess, Osmosis Jones is merely a re-working of Warner Bros two most successful modern genres: the special-effects comedy and the buddy picture.

Chris Rock, as the film's title character, actually comes into his own far more successfully than his standup-modified role in "Down to Earth", but most of that might be better credited to the animators and the sound editors.

It should be said that Osmosis Jones does have a great Web site, at www.osmosisjones.com , and that the news media will probably notice this release and cover it well.

The Farrelly Brothers, those inspired masters of lowbrow laughs ("Dumb and Dumber," "Me, Myself and Irene"), have so long been adolescent boys in the grown-up world of filmmaking that it's only fitting they make a genuine adolescent movie.
It has zippy energy, visual imagination, inspired puns and all the fart jokes, booger gags, and vomit spews a 13-year-old could ask for, yet it's grounded in a harmless innocence.

Unfortunately, "Osmosis Jones" is far too loud, chaotic
Bereft of any workable comedic moments, the movie is a long (at a short 83 minutes), crass slog through, sheer awfulness aside, a fairly original premise.
