There are plenty of surprises and witty innovations in this delightful family film that is the best of the season.
With its themes of friendship and belonging, Martin Lawrence and Ashton Kutcher make a winning odd-couple combo in this animated family film that bounces with humour and resounds from its environmentally friendly issues.

Presented in its original 1.85:1 aspect ratio, the digitally-created Open Season looks as good as you'd expect from start to finish.
Sadly, though, the highlights grow less and less apparent as the film bears on (no pun intended), ensuring that the colorful world created for Open Season probably won't stick in your mind long afterwards.
