OM SHANTI OM is truly a near 3 hour circus show in the offering. 1) The 70s spoof concept - Over the top and on your face, OM SHANTI OM of the 70s is what you call as the light hearted take on the cinema made in the era gone by. 2) Original 'Om Shanti Om' song and dance sequence from KARZ is a riot to see as the film's opening credits roll. 4) References to Manoj Kumar's palm-on-the-face fixation and Govinda struggling to find work due to his surname being Ahuja are done in the right spirit and invokes laughter....more

A movie review by a major Bollywood website was extremely positive. Oh well, how could I trust a reviewer who gave fantastic movies like Chak De India, Black, Rang De Basanti (and so many more) such low ratings? I believed the reviewer is quite fond of masala flicks, flicks which have major box-office appeal. (Are movie reviewers actually paid for positive reviews? I wonder..) Om Shanti Om is a landmark film for Bollywood. There are many reasons that despite being an average film, OSO will not fail to win over its audience.
