Once in a while movies like usual suspects creep up from obscurity and really stun the audience as a refreshingly awesome script. Not that this in any way measures up to usual suspects, but it does shine like the lesser known... Full review

This movie has a lot going for it! A great cast, a great script, and a really great soundtrack. The best thing about it though is Eliza Dushku. She's really great and smoking hot in this film. I was cheering for... Full review

I couldn't speak higher of this movie. I loved the actors, the music, the story, and everything else involved in this movie. The car chase was very original and the humor was slipped in at just the right moments. I look... Full review

I was surprised to see such a big name cast in such a low profile movie. The acting of Alan Rickman, Bill Pullman, Mary Steenburgen, Danny DeVito, and Eliza Dushku was held together well by relative newcomers Bryan Greenberg and Shawn... Full review

I love Alan Rickman and especially him in this role. He did such a good job as a jerk and I hope to see him do more with Randall Miller. They seem to work well off of each other.... Full review

there are moments where it's funny....His interaction with Eliza Dushku and Shawn Hatosy (who play City Hall and Thaddeus James) is enjoyable to view.....Alan Rickman is perfect for the role as the father who is cynical, stubborn and cocky.....One of her good scenes has to do with a gun and a reporter.....Bryan Greenberg (he played on "One Tree Hill" several times if he looks familiar and you can't place him) does a good job..... ... However, the movie falls flat in the second half. Up to this point the movie succeeds. As far as pure entertainment goes I give Nobel Son a 6 out of 10. Rickman is great and you quickly find yourself giggling every time he comes onto the screen. ... Full Review

Your character in Nobel Son is obviously troubled, but for a long time, we can't put our finger on why. It's in no small part that sense of ineffable genuineness that helped make her character, Faith Lehane, on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel ... Full Review

instead of making pulp pictures look great, they've mostly grafted the more gimmicky B-filmmaking tropes onto other movie types.....More recently, the far more obscure Randall Miller and Jody Savin have been trying, and generally failing, to create movies with this sensibility....But while these previous films were weighted down by this, Nobel Son attempts nothing more than being a good yarn, a true-blue work of pulp.....Like Bottle Shock and Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing & Charm School , Nobel Son is ... If you watch enough DVDs, particularly the behind-the-scenes featurettes and the commentary tracks, you'll hear a slew of cliches paraded about. These cliches include self-congratulatory interviews with the cast and crew talking about how clever the movie is (even if... ... Full Article

It took some checking, but I finally figured it out: this is the year 2009. With a little bit more fact checking, I was able to determine that Pulp Fiction came out in 1994, a full fifteen years ago. ... Full Article

I have no idea how all the scenes in this movie connect. But I loved watching it unfold. "Nobel Son" is an adults-only caper movie with twists, turns and double crosses that come so thick and fast it's impossible to... ... Full Article
