It is simple and pragmatic....dares to tell a story that is truly different and "taboo" for Indian Cinema.....this in my humble opinion is easily Ram Gopal Varma's best film since SARKAR and in many ways a better film than SARKAR was even.....it was a pleasure seeing him in a Hindi film.....a moody, somber thriller which in turn makes NISHABD an "exciting" film..... ... Nishabd would have been a better choice for you as far as politics is concerned.
What Zee News (and most other channels) said about Shatrughan and Bachchan last week was an exhibit of this habit AB Sr has, of inadvertently starting a fight.

In the book, Lolita , from which film-maker Ram Gopal Verma, presumably, drew inspiration, author Nabokov made the plot a lot more messy, but this doesn't make Nishabd any less disgusting for me, a desi oldie with a middle-class mindset.
Of all the fantasy Bollywood has made, a movie of this 18-60 love equation depicted in Nishabd is truly outlandish.

I don't know about the audience but I personally enjoyed Nishabd.
Ask Balki if he has seen Nishabd and he reverts positively.
And not much later comes another film where the couple in love is separated by a considerable age difference.

as a whole Nishabd fails to deliver
Jiah Khan is beautiful, sexy, and attractive.She does a fine job in her debut.
Revathy as usual is excellent and naturally beautiful, while Shraddha Arya is a talent to watch.
s craft is wonderful in the movie.

That's not to say that Nishabd is a bad film - not at all.
Much as I am in absolute awe of Amitabh Bachchan and think that his performance in Nishabd is one of his finest, I can't help admitting that his presence in the film dilutes the impact of the film.
