I rather liked this, but it's not much more than a remake of "The Eye", the film from the Pang Brothers (Jian Gui). A woman has a cornea transplant from an anonymous donor and when she realizes that she sees things... Full review

I was expecting Naina to be a really good movie after I read the interesting story about a girl in London who lost her eyesight and parents in a car accident. She was raised by her grandmother and when she became... Full review

First off, I'll have to take the word of everyone who claims "Naina" is a ripoff of "The Eye". Since I've never seen it, I can't confirm or deny. Second, as an American viewer, I appreciated the notable absence of the... Full review

I watched this and saw SCENE by SCENE as Naina ripped its script from "The Eye" (Jian Gui). From the little girl in the hall, the dead man in the elevator, etc. Creatively speaking, while the acting was good, they did... Full review

It's bad enough for a movie to be a remake of another. It's worse when two movies are remakes of the same flick and are released back-to-back. I'm talking about Nazar and Naina. I prefer the former. Nazar is a more... Full review

The "Bhoot" of film Bhoot is still haunting Urmila and she is back to her histrionics and antics viz. screaming, flaring nostrils, Popping eyes et al. Imagine, the audience is subjected to Urmila making faces to camera for two plus hours.... Full review

I was expecting a more chilling movie than "Bhoot" but it was not that scary. For most of us it looks like an adaptation of "The Sixth Sense" but in fact I saw a very very similar movie few days back... Full review
OMG, wat a scary film, urmilla makes some of the scariest films ever, by far this one.
in this film urmilla is blind, to see again she needs a cornea transplant. Thus after being given the operation she can see the dead and people who are going to die, for wat reason she has been given this gift she needs to find out
From watching this film i got the resemblance feeling of the hollywood film 'The sixth sense', this is even scarier than that

The CGI effects are very good though, well a few at the end are pretty obvious.
Some scenes are frankly lifted directly from that movie.

The film's technique never invites attention to itself.
His grip over the narrative is as strong as the spooks who haunt our heroine after her cornea transplant.
Anuj Sawhney as the supportive psychiatrist provides able support.

There's no doubt Naina is one of the most remarkable supernatural thrillers .......though slowly through complex images of tyrannical terror, creating undulating rhythms of life and after-life, death and restless spooks........The writer and director's belief in the idea of spirits that sublimate the human soul are crystallized by the compelling camerawork.....The special effects, including a subway explosion in London, are arguably better than anything we've seen in a horror film in India.....Anuj Sawhney ... Naina, all blood and gore, is a bore
Naina undergoes a successful cornea transplant but all is not light and colours.
In Naina, it is a pale-faced girl who makes a spooky statement in her striking yellow raincoat.
