A great thriller...and a tough script to film.

Mr. Brooks was really a good film to watch. Costner was a convincing serial killer. He was cold and calculating. The story got a little bit convoluted at times and it took a little while to disentangle some of the scenes,... Full review

This Movie could have been a litlle bit better if It had a good ending. I dont understand why someone would have a the addiction to kill. To me that was kinda dumb. I like Kevin Costner and thought his acting... Full review

Mr. Brooks seems to believe it's the next American Psycho with a dash of psychological thriller. The problem is Mr. Brooks couldn't be more wrong. Mr. Brooks is you're average family man with a twist. He has a hostile serial killer... Full review

This movie is beyond strange. Dane Cook looked out of place (as usual) but it seemed a good vehicle for Cosner. It also seemed to be setting itself up for a sequel (the daughter plot line). IMHO it might have been... Full review

This movie is decent I guess. The best part of the movie is the surprise ending. Besides that it was just weird and it was pretty boring. Kudos to Cook though because he proves that he can act in serious movies.... Full review

Either William Hurt or Kevin himself should have been nominated and won Best Actoer. Not saying that Daniel Day Lewis wasn't pehenominal in There Will Be Blood, but Mr. Brooks's character I can relater to. The inner demons that every human... Full review

Review by Andrew L. Urban: The level of Hollywood plastic reaches new heights - or depths - in Mr Brooks, a fatally boring movie comprised of assembled odd parts, as if the result of a night raid on a script morgue. He plays the role to perfection in this, a film filled with surprises - from the concept to the plotline, the characters, their journeys and even the music, which adds a raw edge. ... Full Review

Brooks" is the kind of trashy thriller so ideal for late-night cable viewing it's amazing it ended up in theatres. On the outside, Earl Brooks appears to be the kind of all-American do-gooder that earned Costner fame throughout the '90s-devoted to career and family, respected by the community, prone to wearing dorky bow ties and drinking lots of milk. ... With so many big-budget blockbusters already bloating the summer season, its very easy for a movie like Mr. Brooks to get lost in the mix. DVD Review:I didnt expect a lot from the single-disc release of Mr. Brooks, so it wasnt much of a letdown when I sat down to discover the DVD had little to offer. ... Full Review
