Its a pretty darn BIG laugh. Its visually weird but the story is kind of cleverly written. The director 'Henry Selick' takes a step down to the its so bad that its entertaining level. Unlike previous successes this is a disappointment... Full review

If you read my other reviews, I normally only review movies I give an "A" (or higher) to. However, Monkeybone is profane, perverted, and mentally deprived- and yet, there is a certain charm to it. Brendan Fraser has a few moments... Full review

Burton-centric visuals create a striking fantasy world, Danny Elfman's music is great, and Selick imbues more pathos and verve into his stop-motion animated characters than most flesh-and-blood actors can express.
Sure, it's easy to blow Nightmare off as little more than a merchandise machine for Hot Topic-but rewatch the film, and you'll likely be impressed.
