This was a very poorly acted movie... totally unbelievable. Elizabeth Shue was pretty much a joke in this role. If you want to see truly realistic portrayals of autism then watch Leonardo DiCaprio in What's Eating Gilbert Grape or Dustin Hoffman... Full review

A lightweight film, but engaging. I think that the actors did their jobs well, given the flimsiness of the script. I don't regret the time that I spent watching it.It is, however, a knockoff - virtually a remake. I see... Full review

Starring the usually reliable (and one-time Oscar nominee) Elisabeth Shue, its Movie of the Week-style story should be good for at least a few tears....Too bad the filmmaking is sloppy and the writing dull.....while predictable, are the best of the movie, which means they aren't outright bad.....No doubt they regret this movie has finally been released.....A slapdash production even manages to make Shue seem inept..... ...
