The film works best when Frankel orchestrates his Rhapsody to show the hardscrabble reality of living in a city that sells fantasy.....Farrow and Banderas, however, make it comprehensible in a terrific seduction scene that starts with him showing her his at-home exercise equipment.....Cinematographer Jack Wallner tracks these lovers and losers onto touristy beaches and into exotic local hideaways..... ... Friday January 27, 1995 "Miami Rhapsody," a comedy about marital jitters starring Sarah Jessica Parker , is full of funny performers and beautiful Miami scenery and classic pop tunes but it still seems awfully familiar.
The most enjoyable moments in "Miami Rhapsody" are the ones in which the characters are dazed by their own libidos--Gwyn most of all.
