I recently discovered Bhangra music and Bollywood films/music videos and am a fan of both. This movie is well worth it just for the dance/musical numbers. The bachelor party dance was praised in an earlier comment. The dance contest is... Full review

I really liked this movie. It is a lot of fun to watch. You can never get tired of it. The movie was a mix of many different movies. It had many big twists. This was probably the most typical... Full review

I was impressed by this movie. The acting was very good, and newcomer Tulip Joshi, or Sanjana??, was quite impressive for a new actor. Uday Chopra is very entertaining as always, and Jimmy Shergill injects some life into the character... Full review

Having recently revived my interest for Bollywood movies, I was pleasantly surprised by 'Mere Yaar Ki Shadi Hai'. One only has to read the story to know that it is based on Hollywood's romantic comedy 'My Best Friend's Wedding'. Only... Full review
Director Sanjay Gadhvi in his second film has done a good job by sticking to the Yash Chopra (the film's producer) formula. Even though the story is hardly original (a mix of My Best Friend's Wedding, Kuchh Kuchh Hota Hai... Full review

At every level (casting, budget, songs, production values), pic is one notch down from a Chopra super-production, but it still makes a fine entry-level Bollywood pic. The musical numbers, including two family ensemblers, are well staged dramatically, and the title wedding number has a genuinely joyful bounce. ... Full Review

At every level (casting, budget, songs, production values), pic is one notch down from a Chopra super-production, but it still makes a fine entry-level Bollywood pic. Though she's billed as making only a "special appearance," Basu is on screen for large chunks of the action, and her initial return, soon after the intermission, helps puts some dramatic lead back into the pic's pencil. ... Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai is good, lighthearted, clean entertainment. Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai borrows too much for its own good. And so, Yash Raj Films' Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai religiously treads the oft-beaten path. ... Full Review

Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai borrows too much for its own good.....Bipasha in a special appearance does not disappoint either.....Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai is good, lighthearted, clean entertainment.....Till now seen only in dramatic roles ( Ajnabee, Raaz ), Basu has a flair for comedy.....But the spontaneous performances of Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai 's exuberant cast makes up for the above mentioned non-originality..... ...
