Not the worst film ever made

Still, it is the worst Canadian film ever made, a self-indulgent exercise by Paul Gross. Contains a laugh. Script predicable to upchuck, acting dreadful, editing sloppy. And none of the wonderful humor of Due South.... Full review

This is the kind of flick you watch when you don't want to think too hard but you still want some intelligent humour and a good story. Some jokes are hidden in sarcasm, satire or poignancy, and you might miss them,... Full review

Though the heroes of Canadian comedy-drama Men With Brooms arent road- sweepers but sport players, whats on the screen is often rubbish.
Sure, curling makes a change from boxing or baseball, but this is still your standard-issue, underdog-centred clich-dispenser, complete with eccentric mentor figure (a bearded, bored Leslie Nielsen) and steel-eyed super-rivals (albeit wearing tasteful foil tracksuits).

Okay, there are no other movies about curling (to my knowledge), and this film is short of spectacular, but it's amusing enough to merit a peek.
