Though the heroes of Canadian comedy-drama Men With Brooms arent road- sweepers but sport players, whats on the screen is often rubbish. Sure, curling makes a change from boxing or baseball, but this is still your standard-issue, underdog-centred clich-dispenser, complete with eccentric mentor figure (a bearded, bored Leslie Nielsen) and steel-eyed super-rivals (albeit wearing tasteful foil tracksuits). ...
