While the storyline may not have the dramatic curve of the first film, Men in Black II is fast and very funny with a plethora of wild effects and inventive ideas.
Great effects, though.

I'll go over them both, the critics hated Men in Black II, but I loved it.......Pretty hard for Sonnenfeld to go wrong with actors like Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.....This urban legend is the basis of our two wonderful movies.....Men In Black is Rated PG-13 for language and sci-fi violence, (and the same for Men in Black II) with some provocative humor tossed into the mix.....Smith's sometimes over-the-topidness (it's a word, I used it, you knew what I meant) combines with Jones' understated dry humor l ... Presenting a spectacular phenomenon, the greatest science fiction movie of our time MEN IN BLACK II, starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones for the first time in Tamil on Vijay TV.

Fans of the first film won't find anything to complain about, but if you found the original oddly disappointing, you won't see anything here to change your mind.

This, in spite of the fact that the movie positively flies by (it's less than 90 minutes in length - about 80 if you subtract the credits at the end).

Men in Black II" retains the earlier film's ability to delight the viewer with surprise effects and flights of fancy, only now the effects are better.
But in "Men in Black II," everything's played for laughs, and that's a good thing.
