If you aren't very interested in the subject matter, you probably will find the film just to be OK. Me? I'm an Apollo junkie, so I really enjoyed it. It just wasn't the "knock your socks off" kind of thing that... Full review

Refreshingly, "Magnificent Desolation" has a few lighthearted moments, including "bloopers" - footage of the Apollo astronauts as they stumbled, tripped and fell over the moon's rocky surfaces.
And thankfully, the film's obvious messages are not too heavy-handed, and the whole package is as entertaining as it is educational.
