Maybe this movie is a reflection of today's reality... or maybe it is some distortion of what we are all really like... but I sure hope it's the latter. The actors are wonderful, the concept is not without merit, the movie... Full review

I wanted to like this movie. It has some of my favorite actors who all turned in good performances. The interwoven story lines are touching and for the most part well-crafted. But unfortunately there are several flaws which ruin this otherwise... Full review

I went to a sneak preview of the movie, and it wasn't really what I was expecting. There was a lot of nudity and the R rating was a good choice, due to language as well. I found that the Hugh... Full review

This is a great film. The cast was stellar--literally the cream of UK actors! The stories feel real, which is enforced by the excellence of the acting. There are those who classify this as a "chick movie" because it's about relationships,... Full review

I have never been compelled to write a review for any movie my family has chosen to see. Unfortunately, I did not do my homework. I watched the previews for Love Actually that had several of my favorite actors appearing. We... Full review

This movie sapped my will to live. Predictable, boring and really astonishingly bad. Not helped by unsettling presence of creepy ferret like kid who hangs out with Liam (Phantom Menace) Neeson. Neeson, who is mopey and uncharismatic enough to have ruined... Full review
ACTUALLY HATED

The initial attraction to the movie, was for the incredible ensemble of actors.......that's where it ended! The plot had way too many subplots, interwoven ridiculously poorly. The nudity was completely irrelevant to the storyline, obviously, the director was fishin' for anything... Full review

I was really disappointed by this messy film that jumped back and forward between loads of stories. We don't spend enough time with ANY of the characters to care about them. Very disappointing.... Full review

It's a very moving movie indeed.....Surprisingly enough, it is very concise and just real enough to make it a very good motion picture (not just a run of the mill romantic comedy).....Subtle yet powerful, Thompson makes you feel for her character....What is marvelous about her story is....all include incredible actors..... ... However, "Love Actually" is utterly charming, irresistible, and all those other accolades usually launched at a cute, fluffy, romantic comedy....a year practically devoid of romantic comedies....director Richard Curtis' romantic comedy can honestly, truthfully, and without hesitation be labeled 'the romantic comedy of the year....a perfect blend of comedy and romance....a splendid ensemble of British actors.... ... A sort of highly politicized riff on Lost In Translation , The Girl in the Cafe is admirable in its intention; Curtis's attempts at fusing his trademark witty characters with an urgent call to affect change doesn't wholly succeed, in part because when Gina ceases to be a person and becomes a mouthpiece for the screenwriter's views on global debt relief, it saps the film of its low-key, quietly effective charm. ...
