The movie is absolutely horrible. It is not funny, factually extremely wrong, has incorrect settings, badly acted and just plain stupid. You might be better off pulling on your hair instead of watching the movie.... Full review

A Penny Marshall Cameo: Maybe Brooks thought that if he put Marshall, who is perhaps the lone person left in Hollywood who is less funny than Brooks, in here, he'd look good by comparison.

I got plenty of laughs, so I didn't mind, although it would have been better for the film to have a funny and memorable climax.
He plays the same character he always plays, slightly neurotic and self-involved, which is fine by me because I find his observations and his frustrated, sarcastic asides funny.
