They actually explain why he went to India at the start of the movie, so to complain about it either means you didn't see the movie, or you can't follow things that are carefully explained to you. The movie was more... Full review

Writing a story about Muslims and starting in India where not more than 15% are Muslim...and to add insult to injury, the lady side actor with Brooks is wearing a Bindiya of Hindu ladies and speaking on behalf of Muslims! Such... Full review

The movie is absolutely horrible. It is not funny, factually extremely wrong, has incorrect settings, badly acted and just plain stupid. You might be better off pulling on your hair instead of watching the movie.... Full review

My mother told me I needed to watch this film. She said it made her sides split. I agree 100%. It's clever understated humor that's so funny it hurts. If you are looking for something to lighten your mood - improve... Full review

This movie had tremoundous potential and came with a great idea but failed to deliver. The story got to it's destination and went nowhere. Brooks squandered his talent and a clever idea in this dissapointment of film.... Full review

I actually enjoyed this movie alright. Albert Brooks acting wasn't always the best, but he gets a little license to act like an idiot--it is supposed to be a sarcastic comedy. The visuals were very nice, with some great shots in... Full review

A Penny Marshall Cameo: Maybe Brooks thought that if he put Marshall, who is perhaps the lone person left in Hollywood who is less funny than Brooks, in here, he'd look good by comparison. It's part of a sad-clown stew of repeated - and I mean repeated a lot - references to the outsourcing of customer-service operator jobs to India, wacky cultural misunderstanding gags (American Person says, "Tell [Brooks, on his way to a stand-up gig] to break a leg! ... The movie didn't need to be a screed in either direction, but some kick would have been nice. I find it hard to dislike the film Unfortunately, that's more of a slam on those duds than it is an endorsement for Comedy . ... Full Review

Honestly, this film with the ungainly name starts on a clever and humorous satirical note promising to deliver big.....Muslim culture is devoid of humor.....she has a mighty fine sense of humor.....It is doubtful that "Looking For Comedy In The Muslim World" will cause any riots or burning of Brooks' effigy.....the title suggests, we get a ridiculous conspiracy subplot that made me disbelieve..... ... I got plenty of laughs, so I didn't mind, although it would have been better for the film to have a funny and memorable climax. He plays the same character he always plays, slightly neurotic and self-involved, which is fine by me because I find his observations and his frustrated, sarcastic asides funny. ... Full Review
