Feb 05, 2008
Ton_O - imdb.com
Directed by and starring Jenna Fischer who most people will know from her role in the American version of The Office TV series. Her very natural acting abilities make it very easy to forget that the documentary LolliLove you are... Full review
One sucker at a time

Lollilove is a Troma release, and the first thing that struck me about it was that it contained no obnoxious lead-in from Lloyd Kaufman, which was a big plus right there, because he's pretty much about the most annoying human... Full review

Knowing that this movie was made with such a tiny budget really is amazing. The idea is just genius: a yuppie couple decide to give out lollipops covered in "designer wrappers" hoping to inspire the homeless to get jobs, stop... Full review

konky2000 - imdb.com
This film really makes one appreciate just how brilliant Christpher Guest's mockumentaries are. It also makes one realize that a TV show like The Office is much harder to make than it might appear. All that naturalistic mockumentary acting looks so... Full review

As a fan of the good people at Troma's work and ideals, it was on visiting the Troma site that I stumbled on this gem; a mockumentary about helping the homeless by giving them lollies, Lollilove is a sharp satire... Full review

One of the most scathing, crude, funny, spot on satires I've ever seen. If you're looking for the darkest of satire unencumbered by a big studio that try's to be PC about everything this is the movie for you. Take... Full review
Mockumentary at its finest

manfesto - imdb.com
This movie is mockumentary at its finest - never so outlandish that it's implausible, yet significantly funnier and wittier than what happens in day to day life. The movie as a whole centers around the trials and tribulations of a would-be... Full review

And stuck smack dab in the middle, shouting its stellar reality like a wart on a supermodel's nose, is the amazing MAINSTREAM comedy LolliLove .....This is not some light, lame comedy where kid gloves and tiptoes are used to find the humor.....It is without a doubt one of the funniest films in a long time and a remarkable mockumentary achievement -....it's not just for the magnificent movie at the center.....This is a masterpiece of a movie, a witty and wise bit of self-deprecating and effacing brilliance.. ... Film Threat, Hollywood's Indie V
Lollilove is satire for sure, but its so damned believable that its difficult, at times, to watch. Jenna has masterminded the preposterous idea to distribute lollipops to those unfortunates without homes; Lollilove. ... Full Review

Like so many other people I have become a big fan of the television show the Office over the past two years. The lead actor, Steve Carell, is one of the few brilliantly funny personalities on television. ... Full Article

I thought it was definitely one of the best TROMA movies I've seen. But from a non-Troma fan point of view, it's just a good mockumentary movie, not phenomenal. ... Full Article
