A passionate plea for honesty, courage and standing up for what you believe in, Lions for Lambs is a powder keg of a film.
Like a machine gun taking aim in different directions, we switch our focus as the scenes jump from the senator and the journalist, the professor and his student, and the two idealist soldiers trapped in freezing conditions in enemy territory.

The close door conversation between the two most stunning looking actors was certainly the basic attraction of this film.....Barring the Meryl Streep (journalist) and Tom Cruise (Senator) sequence, the film miserably lacks pace.....The film could have been a masterpiece, but it failed somewhere.....The director succeeded in extracting one of the finest performances from Tom and Meryl.....that diluted the fine moments which were created in Tom and Meryl scenes..... ... However, Robert Redford has made a movie that is so brilliant, so daring and so gut-wrenching that I am proud to announce that "Lions for Lambs" was, without doubt, the best movie that was made in 2007.
However, the only flaw within this incredible film is the casting of Tom Cruise as U.S. Senator Jasper Irving.

This makes Robert Redford's Lions for Lambs a bit of a frustrating 90 minutes.
The most successful of these run on concurrent time lines.
Thus, I have no problem with political filmmaking.

Both his character and his self believe wholeheartedly in something that is met in some circles with persistent derision and in others with accepting, agreeable arms.

Sources are claiming that Tom Cruise is "extremely unhappy" about the video being mocked across the internet in such a widespread way.

The idea was to take the talking heads as a challenge and say, 'Look, most films these days are heavily dependent on action because the computerized technology makes special effects easier and easier and a car chase is an easy way to make films exciting,' " Redford said.
