Why is it that all the trouble these days start when you answer you phone/cell phone? From the moment Snipes dials in Fiorentino's cell phone, all the suspense begins. She starts by being the one who's in control, but it's obvious... Full review

There's an interesting audience response to this movie. The director has captured the audience in the movie theater and forced it to takea look at the handgun issue...not by getting the audience's attention with car chases and breasts heaving up... Full review

Liberty Stands Still is a well-acted intelligent and taunt suspense drama with well-developed characters that gives the audience a real sense of what both leads are thinking, where they're coming from, and where, ultimately, they're heading.
It's a bit hard viewing Liberty Stands Still in the wake of the recent sniper shootings that terrorized the D.C. area, though thankfully, they seem to have come to a conclusion with the recent arrest of several suspects.
