Do not waste money on this movie. Only an elementary schooler would believe such an unbelievable plot. This guy would have been sent to the nuthouse before a community assisted in reinforcing his mental illness. I love Gosling but what crap... Full review

I loved this movie about healing wounds of the past. Not all our stories are resolved so well. It may have been fantasy all the way around but I thought the characters were great and so well played. Well, even Bianca... Full review

I was waiting for the moment when the guy would wake up and be sane (kind of like Flowers for Algernon), but it never happened until the end. And what a painful ride it was. The relationship between the "real girl"... Full review

I absolutely LOVED this movie. I thought Ryan Gossling was so lovable and I was always a fan of Emily Mortimer. The tone of the movie was perfect combination of everything good: little dramatic, little comical, little serious, little intelligent, etc...actually... Full review

Whoever greenlighted this movie should have their head examined. Yes, a viewer has to suspend belief to a certain extent but this premise was totally unbelievable. The fact that a whole town goes along with a moron who imagines a life-size... Full review

I get emotional just thinking about this delightful film that takes us on a wondrous journey that is funny, overtly moving and uplifting.
The film is at once entertaining, heartwarming and thought provoking, hard to label and impossible to simplify - but really easy to enjoy.

See, Lars and the Real Girl is essentially just a creative approach at looking at the psychology of loneliness.
His best moments are actually in between the actual dialogue - you can see in his eyes that on one level he completely believe in Bianca.

Here is a beautifully simple film that doesn't try to be anything or try to do anything other than tell an original story.
There was a simple just pleasure and spark of movie magic that came from the film-- something that movies seriously lack nowadays, even the greatest of films.

Lars and the Real Girl" looks at the effects of loneliness and desperation, but does so in a light-hearted and caring manner.
The title doesnt sound very safe, the plot seems absurd and silly and the cast is driven by Ryan Gosling.
