Labor Pains

Worse comedies have made it to the big screen this year....rehab stints were more interesting than her movies, which haven't drawn big crowds since 2005.....As for the piece's leading man, Luke Kirby seems a bit generic....That said, perhaps the drastically lowered expectations that come with being an ABC Family Original Movie helps one appreciate the film.....CLOSING THOUGHTS Labor Pains isn't bad enough to have deserved being denied a theatrical release..... ... What we have here is a silly little movie about a lie that gets out of control.....the payoff was worth the cringe-worthy investment of watching the lead character spend almost the entire movie trying to keep the pregnancy charade up..... ... Full Review

she is capable of suspending our collective disbelief, might have made "Labor Pains" less arduous to watch.....it's not a good sign for a comedy or a comeback.....A stronger performance by Lohan, who proved in "Freaky Friday....support her high school aged sister, Emma, a throwaway role with which Bridgit Mendler does the very best she can.....the time the (predictable) climax occurs, you're just grateful the ordeal is over..... ... Labor Pains" isn't a devastatingly awful picture that requires a bottle of booze and a nap to flush out of the system....Labor Pains" is a dreary comedy, lazily going through the motions, accurately reflecting Lohan's current interest level in her own self-worth.....And by bad Matthew McConaughey movie I mean all Matthew McConaughey movies.....that the actors are lacking the needed charisma to allow the viewer a chance to root for these fools..... ...
