Jumanji is the classic film whose sum is greater than the parts. Manages to piece together a number of story lines and special effects to build to a climax that works, despite a helter-skelter pace. Everyone does a fine job.... Full review

All of this makes for an entertaining, albiet child pleasing movie.....out pops Alan, all grown up and looking suspiciously like a bearded Robin Williams.....Indeed, adults are pretty well criticised during "Jumanji", and with good reason.....has enough thrills and special effect type distractions to make it seem worthwhile.....the real stars of "Jumanji" are all the special effects animals that are thrown at the viewer every two minutes or so..... ...
