It's a lively retelling of the Old Testament tale of Jacob's favorite son, Joseph, whose 11 jealous brothers sell him into slavery.....For its season opener, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera wisely chose not to dwell on the musical's shortcomings.....If you want to see this musical at its best, this is as good as it gets.....though passive, Joseph who comes alive best in "Any Dream Will Do" and the "Joseph Megamix" finale.....The story is simple.... ...
