an entertaining film, average. The film starts with Govinda and Sanju who are a couple of con artists and rob people of valuable items. Through these cons the police are after them, Sanju goes gambling and by accident a gangsters brother gets killed and this puts the gangsters after them. So the G and Sanju fled the city to Goa, where they pose as NRI's in Anupams hse. Anupam wants them to fix their factory as it is going through a rough time. Thus they stay a while, they plan to rob Anupam of his valuables in his safe, but then Sanju grows a heart and falls for monica. G also falls for Twinkle and they start being members of the family. Trouble comes in when the gangsters and the police track them down in goa, soon Anupam comes to kno they are a bunch of theives. Then he realises they have changed and helps them egt rid of the police and the gangsters. The gangsters die in a bomb blast and the 2 couples get together in the end.

Jodi No 1 has Govinda and Sanjay Dutt teaming after their not-too-impressive attempt at comedy in Haseena Maan Jayegi. Yet both Chi Chi and Sanju make for an interesting cast ensemble. While one is a slick prankster with good sense of timing and humor, the other is an under-performer with his own peculiar ways to tickle a few funny bones. The film is the story of two thieves, Sanjay Dutt and Govinda, and their misadventures as they set about to woo the rich girls Monica Bedi and Twinkle Khanna. Shakti Kapoor plays the hilarious cop who wants to bring the notorious...more
