Jerry Maguire, like so many of Cruise's roles, is a character destined for redemptive changes. The movie offers a pleasure similar to watching Jerry Rice run a pass pattern for a touchdown. ... Full Review

Jerry Maguire is an emotional rollercoaster that creates a world full of characters that viewers learn to care about, through the laughter and the tears. Part sports film and part romantic drama, writer/director Cameron Crowe's third major film, 1996's Jerry Maguire became one of the 90's most successful movies. ... Full Review

if Jerry Maguire is a good movie.....I dislike Jerry Maguire and have watched it often over the years.....Though not my favorite of Cameron Crowe's films, Jerry Maguire is always enjoyable to revisit.....it exists mostly to let listeners enjoy the movie with the camaraderie of the participants who recorded it.....The movie looks as good as it ever has and probably can look in high definition.... ... These faces and appropriate horror music turn up time and again, but feel absolutely hokey, again, in part, because it's old hat. But the effect is less artsy or conducive to the mood of the film than it is herky-jerky as an amateur with a camcorder. ... Full Review

Even more depressing than the relentless rage-a-thon is the fact that the characters have obviously been so drenched in vapid popular culture, they can no longer tell the difference between honest expression and mindless mimicry. Elkharrazs quiet performance is easy to overlook but holds the film together, and Ouazanis sustained fury is remarkable to behold, even if the role isnt exactly nuanced. ... Full Review

He's so good that he keeps ``Jerry Maguire'' pumped up at sag point. It's hardly surprising that he breathes fire into his latest role as a high-rolling sports agent in the wonderfully entertaining ``Jerry Maguire,'' out on video this week. ... Full Review
