Being a mother, this movie frightened me. It bothers me to see what those poor boys and girls go through, for what! Great movie, everyone should see this, especially the people making all the money off this war. Hope their dreams... Full review
Mommies don’t let your babies grow up to be soldiers. If you do and they serve in Iraq, they will come back drug crazed, mental basket cases. This is the basic premise of this Hollywood propaganda piece. It is very disappointing... Full review

This was superb acting by Tommy Lee Jones and Charlize Theron. The movie was a good army mystery/suspense/drama. Yes, it does have a little bit of a anti-war swing that says that all of are soldiers are young, drugged up, and... Full review

Despicable would be a compliment. To characterize our brave soldiers as butchers, drug dealers and heartless is beyond acceptable. Shame on all who played a part in producing this trash. Had I any idea of this film's intent, I would never... Full review

Paul Haggis's In the Valley of Elah explores the consequences of a tough patrimony, which is all the more desolate for being nobly intended. Asked for a bedtime story by Theron's young son, Hank tells him the legend of David and Goliath who fought in the Valley of Elah and impresses the kid so deeply that he later asks his mom for a slingshot. ... At any rate, he delivers a superb performance, particularly when giving the film's explanatory central speech about the Valley of Elah (the site of the battle between David and Goliath). In short, In the Valley of Elah is an engaging and provocative thriller that's worth seeing for the superb performances from its two leads. ... Full Review
