A staple of any family oriented animated film, past, present and I'm certain continuing into the future, is that it must appeal to both old and young alike. This can represent any sort of balance of splendid animation that stimulate the... Full review

This was a great animated film. A little twisted fun! The actors were great and the music was such a nice surprise! Clever, clever, clever. Steve Buscemi as a suicidal rabbit and Sean Hayes as a STUPID brain play so well... Full review

Let's clear something out of the way right now : Igor is an animation movie, but mainly not for children. Kids will not understand most of the jokes as the topic for most of them are intended for an older audience.... Full review
I took my daughters (7 and 3) to see this movie today, knowing absolutely nothing other than seeing about 5 seconds of a TV commercial. I am normally relatively picky about what my kids see, but decided to join a friend... Full review
As a fan of CG animation and cheesy horror, I was really looking forward to this one. It wasn't as good as I had hoped, and not nearly as good as it *could* have been, given the talent. But the premise... Full review

Give us a break, will ya? No one expects a movie like this to equal "WALL-E" or "The Iron Giant"! Granted, it rips off "Nightmare Before Christmas" unabashedly (was anyone else as bugged as I by the shameless similarity between Malaria's... Full review

Igor (voice of Cusack) may have been born with a brilliant mind, but unfortunately everyone around him is too distracted by his pronounced hunchback to notice. Carefully covering up Dr. Glickenstein's death, Igor enlists the aid of angry brain-in-a-jar Brian and insecure re-animated rabbit Scamper to create an enormous, hideous creature of unparalleled strength. ... The look of the film is pretty ugly One of the Igors (Cusack) has aspirations above his station, so when his master dies in a tragic inventing mishap he takes over the laboratory, aided by the self-destructive Scamper (Buscemi) and a dim-witted brain in a jar (Sean Hayes). ... Full Review

Even with various script doctors, "Igor" isn't particularly funny, and all those Louis Prima tunes on the soundtrack seem at odds with composer Patrick Doyle 's moody orchestral commentary. His venal boss, Dr. Glickenstein ( John Cleese ), expires while tinkering with his invention for the annual Evil Science Fair, leaving Igor to freely experiment with his own creation: a destructive force of mayhem, female division, voiced by Molly Shannon . ... The movie follows only one assistant: the talented and adorable Igor (John Cusack) who threatens to rock the monotonous evil order with one goal. The superfluous pop culture references may not all survive into the next generation, but at least the good heart of "Igor" will. ... Full Review

Given the number of people working behind the scenes that I really like - Cusack, Cleese, Shannon, Buscemi, Izzard - Igor is all the more disappointing. Igor is firmly rooted in the past, and not in a good way, which is why even if the efforts of the folks responsible for movies like Bolt fail, at least they're noble. ... Full Review
