emotionally cool postmodernism (see the Shrek sequels), there is something utterly bracing about the bald-faced sentimentality and earnestness of High School Musical....Correctly re-situating the characters on their East Side High campus (after the first sequel sent them to a summer camp that offered only sporadic charm), High School Musical....For that alone, this sweet-natured film becomes a truly winning piece of Americana, and one.... ... The movie includes a number of great musical numbers and set pieces. Fun musical with many memorable songs and likable performers. But I have to admit that the movies themselves are filled with talented actors, fun songs and great dance numbers. ... Full Review

Senior Year has a few good musical numbers and a few decent performances -....If you don't have a propensity for shrieking when you see Zac Efron then I can at least tell you HSM 3:....may have had the best performance in the movie.....To enjoy the High School Musical series you need to be blissfully unaware of a few key realities.....Among the main four, the only other cast member worthy of notice is Corbin Bleu whom has plenty of charisma even.... ...
