Yates, and the young persons he gets to play Riddle in these memories (one of them being Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, relative of Ralph Fiennes), make these scenes easily the best of the film.....This is easily the least likeable Potter film since the overblown and dull first one (Sorcerer's Stone)..... ... It leaves the film feeling anti-climactic and overtly depressing.....It's a great opening scene.....The immediate example that springs to mind is the film's penultimate scene involving Professor Dumbledore and the mischief within the walls of Hogwarts.....So as I burned through the books (waiting eagerly at midnight book parties for each new chapter in the saga to drop) I began noticing the incredibly dark and dangerous direction the story was headed..... ...
