The trailers lead one to believe that this is a happy, joyous, dancing penquin movie with the "different" penquin working out his place in the world. The dancing sequences are awesome, the humor is effective (sometimes subtly raunchy). The viewer is... Full review

Great animation, good acting, and terrible story. In this movie, humans are the enemy. This has been a standard theme for the environmentalist whackos for years, and now the message is getting beamed directly to impressionable children in the form of... Full review

The majestic landscapes and the technical skill of the filmmakers - not to mention the fabulous range of songs across multiple genres - combine to make Happy Feet the wondrous film that it is.
With its cast of thousands, Happy Feet is a spectacular extravaganza of a musical that breaks the ice both technically and literally.

I'm really very curious about this film -- an epic about owls sounds a lot more promising than half the stuff that gets optioned, anyway.

I really can't envision any kind of scenario where this could be a good movie.
George Miller's last two efforts have been really creepy children's films ( Babe: Pig in the City and Happy Feet ), and every casting rumor that I've heard has led me to think that they're going to take the project down the Smallville route, meaning that they're going to have some fairly decent superhero action but dilute it with inert, weepy nonsense until it's unrecognizable from the story you love.

With its cast of thousands, Happy Feet is a spectacular extravaganza of a musical that breaks the ice both technically and literally.
The music is cleverly conceived and we have great fun as the penguins slip and slide down the icy slopes, endure the terror as the whales snap their jaws and watch in wonder as they dive into the waters in formation and perform impressive gymnastics.
