Seems like the directors get a spark of novel ideas, subjects, inspiration, great characters and all those other things that start of a film's journey from the creator's mind to the screen just by seeing this couple together.
Abhi and Ash gave the go ahead signal to the director to work on the script after liking the romantic story.
