This was strange, creepy yet vastly entertaining as well. Werner Herzog is a fascinating film maker who puts together a movie using over 100 hours of actual footage from Timothy Tredwell as well as interviews with the people in his life... Full review

Don't waste 1hr 43mins of your life. The only people that will enjoy this film are those who support the U.C. Berkeley Tree sitters. In the film Treadwill states that he is not a homosexual. I disagree. Treadwell is clearly disturbed... Full review

This is a movie about an emotionally imbalanced guy who takes some very dumb risks around grizzly bears and eventually gets eaten. The only surprise is that he lasted as long as he did. That said - there are some extraordinary... Full review

With little else but a camera to keep him company, Timothy Treadwell spent years living among the bears in the breathtakingly beautiful Alaskan peninsula region.
And although we are left with the impression that Treadwell died as he would have wanted to, there were other needless deaths - that of his girlfriend Amie, and the bear, which was shot by a ranger.

The Grizzly Man Diaries" manages to let us appreciate the fruits of Treadwell's labor and life, without asking us to submit to his fantasies.
On a deeper level, Herzog made "Grizzly Man" into a cautionary tale about the broad human desire to romanticize nature, despite its indifference and hostility.
