"Flyboys" delivers rousing battle sequences so intense that I actually enjoyed every moment. I think its rather exciting than reading old plain history books. Its mostly good for a historical epic drama, but it drives like an overplayed video game.... Full review

Some interesting characters and a good overall storyline. Captured a very interesting piece of history fairly well with good art and costumes. Acting was only so-so grade B movie stuff, and dialogue was mediocre. Relationships were not believable.... Full review

Flyboys is a terrific war movie, partly because it's different to most war movies and partly because it has such heart. The film is at its soaring best when we are in the cockpit high above the clouds, where the freedom of the skies is a sharp contrast to the restrictions and dangers of war. ... Full Review

In short, Flyboys is an engaging, beautifully made and frequently exciting adventure movie that really takes off during its aerial sequences.....Similarly, the plot is simplistic and the dialogue is frequently cheesy....Put simply, Flyboys is worth seeing for its astonishing special effects sequences alone -....Engaging, smartly directed wartime adventure with impressive performances and stunning special effects sequences.....if the underwritten love story is the least successful aspect of the film..... ... That would be your loss as this is a really good war film. No artifacts, pixilation or other such problems commonly found on such a special effects intensive movie. Also on hand is the great Jean Reno as the commander of the squadron. ... Full Review
