A good story once you see where it's going. You want to knock the lead character in the head, numerous times, but you can kinda see his point. A good old-fashioned underdog story and you will cheer for the underdog.... Full review

Well until it hit the dvd shelf I really had not even heard of this movie but it sounded interesting so I rented it and I have to say that I am glad I did. This was a really well told... Full review

It simply doesn't package the compelling real life events into a taut drama.....But despite a terrific central performance from Greg Kinnear, the movie lacks enough 'Eureka' moments to sustain any heightened drama or tension.....takes far too long to reach a nicely underplayed courtroom climax.....though, the movie hasn't been edited into a suitable vehicle to fully bring out the engaging nature of the Kearns story..... ... The film looks great -....Flash Of Genius, however, severely tests the audience's sympathy for Kearns.....what's more, the film never condemns her decision to get away from his all-consuming obsession.....even the rainy scenes (of which in a film about a windscreen wiper there are many) are lovely, the film presenting grey stormy days as more than just bad weather..... ...
