This movie started out pretty slow, and just took off in a heart beat. I loved the story line, and it really made me think about life. Kirsten Dunst's character was a bit whacko at first, but she was just coming... Full review

It takes quite a bit for me to consider a movie truly awful, but Elizabethtown easily makes it into this category. It's too bad because I like the actors (Bloom, Dunst, etc.) and I wanted to like the movie as well,... Full review

Excellent, artistic, heartfelt. Very good message, that makes people realize things. Almost independent-filmish, but that adds to the unique charm this movie. I found it to be one of Crowe's best works. The actors were wonderful, and their acting was very... Full review

There's no doubt that Cameron Crowe's heart is in the right place, but Elizabethtown probably works better as a tribute to his late father (to whom the film is dedicated) than the uplifting romantic comedy to which he aspires. Kirsten Dunst is the film's bright shining star, and the best scenes are those when her effervescent Claire establishes a relationship with Orlando Bloom's lackluster Drew. ... Full Review

While trimming throughout the film would have been smart, lopping off the end of the film might have been seen as an act of mercy. As a huge fan of Crowe dialogue, normally that would be a good thing, but when those words spill forth from the mouth of Dunst, they just don't mean as much. ... Full Review
