After watching this I have to admit even as an atheist I'm questioning religion even more. Hoffman and Streep I think are at their best in years. I think the movie itself expands into other real life questions regarding much of what church leaders have been accused of doing (or suspected of I should say) for years. This is only I think the tip of the iceberg with this movie. Definitely worth watching again though.
Wow is all I can say right now. This movie was amazing to me. The entire movie I was interested in what was going to happen next. I was not bored for one second during the whole movie. Every person cast member played their role perfectly. The entire movie was done by perfection. Meryl Streep played her role perfectly and I admire her so much. She will always be one of my hereo's. This was such a strong religious movie and i recommend anyone to watch it. This movie may be boring for many people, but I think for the most part that everyone can enjoy it.
I really like this movie because of the theme and the focus of the story. It really touches the attention of whoever will watch it. It could make a lot of impression to all the viewers. This may also create a negative thoughts for those who are really active in their religious life. The story of the movie really open up my thoughts that anything could happen and anyone can do the unexpected. I have learned in this movie that you cannot really judge the person just because of its social status or occupation and vocation. Anything could happen in this world. This is what I've learned in this movie. One thing is for sure, I have no "Doubt" that this movie is the best.
This movie was hard for me to support because it was to close to the real thing. Those old fashion nuns knew everything and attacked everyone. The movies premise was a good twist, but the reality was much more opressive. Lucky... Read more

I walked into the theatre planning to be bored with this movie and I was pleasantly disappointed. Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams, and Viola Davis were riveting. I left the theatre thinking that I had witnessed a group of... Read more
Finally, the script and the direction live up to the cast. Meryl Streep, is this the same women who just made "Mama Mia"? She is a chameleon, playing a dried up, mean spirited nun, so believably, you pull your hand back... Read more
I rarely ever lobby for plays that are made into movies, much less go see them. Speaking as a student and lover of theatre, having seen the play, read the script, performed scenes from the play itself...I can honestly say that... Read more

I really enjoyed this film. I saw it at the Opening night of the AFI FEST 2008. They (AFI) added this film 8 days before the opening, after they lost the original selected film (The Soloist) when the studio decided to... Read more
