The DVD case booklet compliments the documentary nicely with some anecdotes as well.....Dodes'ka-den" is a sad and bleak portrait....He creates many beautiful images....regarded films, you've probably already been through a good portion of his oeuvre ("Rashomon" or "Ikiru" or "The Seven Samurai" or "Ran", etc) "Dodes'ka-den" was Kurosawa's first color film.... ...
