a love triangle movie, kader khan is karisma's grandfather and he wants her to live a happy life rather than live in her fathers unhappy steps. So he takes her to a village where she learns the true meaning of work and she falls for ajay devgan. Ajay devgan is engaged to manisha but karisma don't kno this. When karisma goes home she thinks only of ajay, her dad gets her engaged to another man and she runs from home to tell her love to ajay. We find out manisha is ill, she has a hole in her heart and needs an operation which is expensive, or she wil die. Karisma helps with the operation and creates a drama of marriage with ajay so she can get the operation, in the end manisha and ajay get maried and manisha with the fathers choice.
