Making the assumption that no one is going to watch Death Race expecting high art, there really is a lot to like about this film.....and find Gibson a little bland....Characterisation, motivation and plot are all weak points (really what did you expect) but dialogue is alternatively brilliantly funny and hilariously bad.....The cast really is quite impressive, even....as ever we love Statham.... ...
