i hope there never has to be a draft in this nations future ever again. Not because i, unlike the cowards portrayed in this movie, wouldnt want to go, but because i wouldnt want to serve with such scum as this.... Full review

Ok, digression over, sorry- it's not a bad film, but Day Zero is better and more clear in its intentions). Day Zero doesn't engage the politics, instead going for visceral reactions from individuals dealing with their mortality, far more intelligent than burying emotional intensity under topical news and political rhetoric. ...
