And it's the worst movie of 2006.
And then Date Movie unspooled for 80 minutes, vomiting up serious buckets of Unfunny, hating my eyes and trying to make them blind.
They showed some fun ads before the movie started.

How I Met Your Mother is a fun fresh comedy that, in some ways, is a lot like Friends -- only, you know, with bite, wit, and a clever framework.
This is a music video set to clips, a common feature lately on DVD sets, except that this one is exceptionally well timed, with all the high fives and butt slaps hitting on the beat.

it's completely absent of the slightest laugh.....This sums up "Date Movie" better than anything else the film has to offer:....You could, I suppose, do a take off on all the ways some comedies go wrong -....You could also, I again suppose, send up the clichés of the romantic comedy genre.....When not attempting to copy gags from other movies, the filmmakers rely on the worst assortment of fart jokes and pratfalls available..... ... For a while I just wanted comedy, but now if a good drama came along I'd enjoy doing that as well but for as long as I can remember I wanted to make people laugh.
That was the hardest scene not to laugh in.

This movie is that bad.....even after enduring Date Movie , my companion and I would still welcome her into our bedroom with open arms -....Date Movie is crass and unfunny, with none of the redeeming qualities of spoofs like Not Another Teen Movie , Scary Movie or, perish the thought, Airplane!.... ... Date Movie is horrible.
It is a parody of chick flicks/romantic comedies, that is supposed to be chock full of laughs and scenes that poke fun at most of those cheesy movies that the ladies seem to love so much.

Date Movie went and did the same exact thing, except this time the cat had a terrible case of diarrhea.
Date Movie is one to avoid at all costs, because this unfunny, genuinely bad, poorly written excuse for a film gives the genre of satire and parodies a bad name.
